Inspiration – Boo Mitford looks at the Behaviour and Personality of Colour

Chaos Contained – Paintings by Boo Mitford 2005 – 2015

While browsing through   Aesthetica Magazine online, I came across an eyeful of color which stopped me in my tracks. I wish I had seen this exhibition in the flesh. The scale of the work and the resulting colour relationships and material quality of the paint are of great interest to me and I hope to others.

‘The resulting paintings offer not only a chronicle of Mitford’s meticulous study into the behaviour and personality of colour, but a window into the mind of the artist and the dynamic between chaos and control. ‘
